Hi Advika,

Thank you very much for your suggestion.

I contacted help@databricks.com as advised. Databricks Support replied that my contact email is an individual (free-tier) account without a support contract and redirected me back to the Community forum for guidance.

Given this, could a Databricks engineer or moderator please advise on the appropriate escalation path for this specific scenario?

The account containing my coursework notebooks was registered under my university email address, which is now deactivated.

The data-retrieval / migration login flow sends the verification code to that deactivated university mailbox, which blocks access.

I need to download my notebooks and migrate to Free Edition before Community Edition data is removed.

Since I have already contacted Databricks Support and was redirected back here, I would like to ask whether there is any supported process to regain access in this situation, for example by updating the verification destination to a new email address or using an alternative verification method.

I would be very grateful for any guidance on the appropriate next steps.

Thank you again for your help.

Hello, I am seeking assistance with accessing my former Databricks Community Edition account.

During my Master’s studies at the University of Nottingham (2023), I used Databricks Community Edition for coursework. The account was registered using my university email address, which has since been deactivated after graduation.

As part of the Community Edition decommissioning process, the Databricks Support Team previously provided a confidential data-retrieval access link so users could download notebooks and migrate to Free Edition. However, when I attempt to use this link, the login process sends a verification code to my former university email address, which I can no longer access.

As a result, I am currently unable to:

sign in to the Community Edition account

download notebooks for local backup

complete the “Move to Free Edition” migration

I understand that Community Edition systems are being retired and data may be deleted soon, so I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to regain access. In particular, I would like to know whether it is possible to:

update the verification destination to a new personal email address

use an alternative verification method

temporarily bypass email verification for data retrieval

or follow any other recovery procedure available for this situation

If this issue requires internal assistance, I would be very grateful if a Databricks engineer or moderator could advise on the appropriate next steps.

Thank you very much for your time and support.

Please update my Databricks Community Edition account access, as verification is blocked due to my inactive university email, so I need an alternative method to retrieve notebooks and migrate to Free Edition.
