🌟 Last night I delivered my final session on Databricks + Power BI integration and it felt like the right moment to close this chapter on a high note.

Because it was the last time I was presenting this topic, I rebuilt the flow completely. Instead of jumping straight into technical demos, I started with the business context, moved into a Databricks architecture overview, and only then transitioned to Power BI integration best practices.

For the Power BI part, I leaned heavily on the brilliant work produced by Andrey Mirskiy and Davide Veneziano. Their cheat sheet has been a huge inspiration for me from day one, and it shaped this entire presentation.

So if you use the guide, please connect with them too. 🤝 Not all the credit is mine 😄

https://medium.com/dbsql-sme-engineering/introducing-the-power-bi-on-databricks-best-practices-cheatsheet-a55e0aed9575

And in fact, Andrey even joined the session live last night and jumped in to answer questions. Thank you again! 🙌

A huge thank you to the Romanian Power Bi Community, and especially to Cristian Prifti and Cristian Angyal, for inviting me and for the warm engagement and energy.

🔍 Why I won’t be running this session again:

Because it’s now publicly available on YouTube!

So if you missed it, feel free to watch the full recording.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWt-O-vvPZY

And if you hear me “mumbling” at times, forgive me, nerves are real. 😅

🎯 What’s next?

Given how many questions I received last night, I’ll now focus on Microsoft Fabric + Databricks integration.

This is clearly a hot topic, and I want to invest time in exploring the patterns, the gaps, and the real-world architectural decisions before coming back with practical guidance.

Thank you all again your support💜

#Databricks #PowerBI #Lakehouse #DataEngineering #BusinessIntelligence #RomanianDataCommunity #MicrosoftFabric #Analytics #Unifeye #ThankYou
