I see several reference in Databricks documentation to export a Dashboard as a PDF, yet I have no options for format when I download it, it creates a json file. Is there a way to download a Dashboard as a PDF?

Currently, there is no direct option to download a Databricks dashboard as a PDF from the UI. The references you see in the documentation about exporting a dashboard typically pertain to exporting it as a JSON file, which is why you are seeing a JSON file when you attempt to download it. Alternatively, you can manually take a screenshot of the dashboard and convert it to a PDF using external tools.

Actually you can download a Dashboard to a PDF if it is a legacy dashboard. It does not appear as an option for an AI/BI dashboard.
