We currently have a SCIM provisioning connector set up to synchronize identities from Entra ID to Unity Catalog.

We’re now considering enabling Databricks Automatic Provisioning but want to fully understand the potential impact on our environment before moving forward. Unfortunately, the documentation below doesn’t clearly explain how the user and permission management experience will change for administrators once Automatic Provisioning is turned on:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/databricks/security/auth/jit

Has anyone here recently enabled Automatic Provisioning? I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience — especially any changes you noticed in how user access and permissions are handled, and any lessons learned.

You can try with a batch and test it. It's as safe as Azure SCIM.
