Hello,

I am currently attempting to integrate NetSuite with Databricks using the NetSuite JDBC driver version 8.10.184.0. When I attempt to ingestion information from NetSuite to Databricks, I find that the job fails with a checksum error and informs me that the "JAR checksum does not match any allowlisted values".

I was wondering the follow

Whether NetSuite JDBC driver 8.10.184.0 is currently supported or allowlisted by Databricks for managed ingestion, and

If not, when support for this driver version is planned?

If their is any alternative approaches I could take as well I would be happy to hear more.

Thanks!

Hi @b_pinter, The NetSuite JDBC driver version 8.10.184.0...

Hi @b_pinter,

The NetSuite JDBC driver version 8.10.184.0 is indeed supported by Databricks for managed ingestion via Lakeflow Connect. The officially supported driver versions are 8.10.147.0, 8.10.170.0, and 8.10.184.0.

The "JAR checksum does not match any allowlisted values" error typically means the JAR file that was uploaded does not match the expected checksum for the supported driver versions. Here are a few things to check:

VERIFY THE JAR FILE

1. Make sure you downloaded the driver directly from your NetSuite account (Settings > Set up Analytics Connect). Do not use a JAR obtained from a third-party source, as even minor differences in the file will produce a different checksum.

2. Confirm the file was not corrupted during download or upload. Re-download the JAR from NetSuite and re-upload it to your Databricks volume.

3. Ensure the file you uploaded is the exact NQjc.jar file from NetSuite without any modifications, repackaging, or renaming of contents.

UPLOAD THE DRIVER CORRECTLY

The NetSuite connector requires the JDBC driver JAR to be uploaded to a Unity Catalog volume. The steps are:

1. Create a volume in your Databricks catalog/schema if you have not already.
2. Upload the NQjc.jar file to that volume using either the Catalog UI (Catalog pane > Upload to volume) or the Databricks CLI.
3. When configuring your ingestion pipeline, set the netsuite_jar_path to the volume path, for example:

/Volumes/<catalog>/<schema>/<volume>/NQjc.jar

CONFIRM YOUR NETSUITE SETUP

Before creating the pipeline, make sure you have completed the NetSuite source configuration:

1. Token-Based Authentication (TBA) is enabled in NetSuite (Setup > Company > Enable Features > SuiteCloud tab).
2. You have created a custom role with permissions for: Log in using Access Tokens, SuiteAnalytics Connect, Deleted Records, and Custom field types.
3. You have a user assigned to both your custom role and the Data Warehouse Integrator role.
4. You have generated your Consumer Key/Secret and Token ID/Secret.
5. You are connecting to the NetSuite2.com data source (the legacy netsuite.com data source is not supported).

Full setup instructions are here:
https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/ingestion/lakeflow-connect/netsuite-source-setup

CREATE THE INGESTION PIPELINE

Once the driver is uploaded and your connection is configured, you can create the pipeline through:

- The Databricks UI: Data Ingestion > Add data > NetSuite
- Databricks Asset Bundles (YAML-based pipeline definitions)
- Notebook templates provided in the documentation

Pipeline documentation:
https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/ingestion/lakeflow-connect/netsuite-pipeline

IF THE ERROR PERSISTS

If you have verified the JAR is the correct file downloaded directly from NetSuite and the error still occurs, I would recommend opening a support ticket with Databricks Support. Include the exact file name, file size, and the full error message so the team can verify whether the checksum for your specific driver build needs to be added to the allowlist.

Note that the NetSuite connector in Lakeflow Connect is currently in Public Preview, so your workspace must have Unity Catalog and serverless compute enabled.

* This reply used an agent system I built to research and draft this response based on the wide set of documentation I have available and previous memory. I personally review the draft for any obvious issues and for monitoring system reliability and update it when I detect any drift, but there is still a small chance that something is inaccurate, especially if you are experimenting with brand new features.

If this answer resolves your question, could you mark it as "Accept as Solution"? That helps other users quickly find the correct fix.
