On a very general level you will be billed on a usage-based pattern, based on the queries executed against the SQL warehouse underneath - meaning the more questions, and the more complex they are, the higher the cost.

TLDR; Think about the realistic number of users, and the corresponding number of sessions/queries.

Databricks recently published a new pricing model for all Genie products that will begin on July 6. Each user receives 150 DBUs of free large language model (LLM) usage every month, usage beyond the free amount is billed in DBUs, reflecting the underlying LLM models and agents that power each Genie session.

You should also consider managing budget and monitor Genie usage.
