Hello

Is there a way to set one of the clusters in my workspace to be the default cluster when choosing from

list of available clusters when running my Code?

Upon checking internally, it seems that we do not currently support setting a default cluster for the workspace. But we do have a Feature request titled "Workspace - Settings - Specify Default Cluster for Users".

Please note that providing an estimated ETA for this feature request is challenging at the moment. Our Product Team prioritizes development based on factors such as the number of upvotes the request receives and the number of customers requesting it. If the request garners more upvotes and customer demand, it will be prioritized ahead of other requests.

However, Databricks does offer a feature called "Personal Compute" as mentioned in the document titled "Personal Compute Policy". This feature allows users to create modestly-sized, single-machine compute resources in Databricks, which could potentially serve as a personal default cluster.
