Hello @ankit001mittal!

Currently, there's no direct way to disable SQL AI Functions in Databricks. To restrict the use of serverless compute, you can set up serverless budget policies that allow you to monitor and limit usage to some extent. However, this will not fully prevent the use of serverless compute.

For further assistance, I recommend opening a support ticket with the Databricks Support team. They’ll be able to help you prevent unexpected usage based on your setup.

Hi Guys,

Recently, Databricks came up with a new feature SQL AI Functions

Is there a way to stop users from using it without downgrading the runtime on cluster? by using Policies?
Also, is there a way to stop users from using serverless, before there was a toggle which we could disable for serverless, but now its seems like its removed.

It's a quite costly feature and it took up already our monthly budget for Development in a day. So we would like to prevent it from happening again, and would like to stop users from using this functions as of now, before reviewing their use case.

Appreciate your help on this.
