Hey everyone! 👋 I’m currently looking for some good tools for data analysis. If you have any recommendations, please share them with me. Would really appreciate it! 😊

That's a broad topic - what data analysis are you hoping to achieve?

It's very easy to get started on Databricks (especially the Free Edition) using the inbuilt data analysis tools: SQL queries, AI/BI Dashboards, Genie Agents.

If you have a specific domain of data analysis I can give more specific recommendations as the Databricks native tools have their limitations.

@ThiamLee

You can use Notebooks that let you write Python and SQL code interactively. You use libraries like pandas, matplotlib, ydata profiling and Py Spark for both small and large-scale analysis in it. Databricks SQL provides a dedicated SQL editor for querying data while AI/BI Dashboards help you create interactive visualizations and reports. Use Genie Agents if you prefer asking questions in plain English rather than writing queries yourself to do the analysis. Use Unity Catalog to search and explore tables, columns and existing queries across the workspace
