      <description>&lt;P&gt;i have a delta table partitioned by a Date column , I'm trying to use the alter table drop partition command but get &lt;B&gt;ALTER TABLE DROP PARTITION` is not supported for Delta tables &lt;/B&gt;error&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;is there a way to do it?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You can use the Delete command to delete the data for one partition.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
