Encryption for UC managed tables on AWS based databricks

Hi folks,

How encryption is handled for UC managed tables on AWS- based Databricks account? I found this post: https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/security/keys/ , which describes how workspace file system (dbfs) and control panel data is encrypted, but can't find material on encryption for S3 buckets hosting UC managed tables. Another question I have is how to change this encryption to CMK or other type of encryption?

Hi @Fikrat ,

So according to following Databricks blog you can use CMK to encrypt UC managed tables:

Data Protection With Customer-Managed Keys | Databricks

And I think at below location there is an explanation how to achieve that. Note that nowadays AWS refers to CMK as KMS (but this is the same concept).
