Hi,

we are creating an external table in the Azure databricks but facing this error:

org.apache.spark.sql.AnalysisException: org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.metadata.HiveException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to instantiate org.apache.hadoop.hive.metastore.HiveMetaStoreClient

When did this problem begin? There was a minor version upgrade on databases on 31-Jan-2023 at 5pm

You might have had a brief connectivity issue with hive metastore during this time.

Please restart the cluster and run the command again.

If the issue still does not get resolved, please share the query and complete stack trace.

@Priyanka Biswas is there a place where we can have updates on metastore upgrades or control plane individual components. usually we can only see control plane region wide status
