Unable to access “Data Management and Governance with Unity Catalog” course – Access Denied

Hi Team,

I am enrolled in the Associate Data Engineering learning pathway in Databricks Training.

I am able to open the first three courses without any issues:

Data Ingestion with Lakeflow Connect
Deploy Workloads with Lakeflow Jobs
Build Data Pipelines with Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines

However, when I click on the 4th course – “Data Management and Governance with Unity Catalog”, I get an “Access denied – you do not have permission to access this page, please contact your administrator

I have attached screenshots showing:

The access denied error page
The learning pathway with the course link

Could you please let me know:

If this course requires additional permissions or enrollment?
Or if this is a known issue with training access?

Go through the form and fill accordingly.

It looks like you’re referring to an older Learning Festival event post. Please check the latest post for the current details: Self-Paced Learning Festival: 09 January - 30 January 2026, which mentions that the 4th module in the Associate Data Engineering pathway is DevOps Essentials for Data Engineering.

I am observing the same as Srikanth (OP): “Data Management and Governance with Unity Catalog” is not available anymore.
If you look in the Databricks Exam Guide for 'Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate', the list of modules is:
○ Data Ingestion with Lakeflow Connect
○ Deploy Workloads with Lakeflow Jobs
○ Build Data Pipelines with Lakeflow Spark Declarative pipeline.
○ Data Management and Governance with Unity Catalog.

@Advika do you mean that we now have to study module 'DevOps Essentials for Data Engineering' instead of 'Data Management and Governance with Unity Catalog' for the Data Engineer Associate exam?
Could you please confirm?

If so, maybe it could be an idea to update the Exam Guide... 🙂

Yes, learners should enroll in the DevOps Essentials for Data Engineering course to complete the learning path and prepare for the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate exam.
