My Databricks Associate and Professional certifications expired in January 2026. I would like to renew them and need guidance on the process.

Could you please confirm:

Do I need to re-take the exam and pay the full fee again for renewal?
Will free vouchers or 50% discount vouchers be available during the upcoming Learning Festival (April/July 2026)?
How can I register early to secure a voucher for renewal?

Hi ,

If your company is databricks partner than you can get voucher:

"As part of recertification drive, Databricks is offering 100% free voucher for Databricks partner associates to renew expired certificates."

If you're not Databricks Partner then recertification is required every two years to maintain your certified status. To recertify, you must take the current version of the exam. (which means paying once again).

That's right. You need to retake the exam. Databricks certifications are valid for 2 years. Once they expire, the only way to renew is to retake the current exam version. There is no separate recert exam, and each attempt is charged at the standard exam price unless you apply a valid discount voucher.

Databricks usually runs learning festivals quarterly. The most recent one ended a couple of weeks back. They typically offer a 50% discount voucher on any Databricks certification + a 20% discount coupon for Databricks Academy Labs when you complete at least one specified self-paced learning pathway in Customer Academy during the event window. These promotions are 50% off, not 100% free exam vouchers, and exact dates/offers are always confirmed in the official event announcement. The next one is likely to be in July. So, keep an eye out for announcements in this community and on LinkedIn.

There’s no pre-booking of vouchers. You earn them by finishing a fully listed learning pathway during the festival dates. while you can start doing the modules even before the festival begins, make sure that at least one eligible pathway is within the festival window. After the event ends, the 50% voucher and Labs coupon are emailed to you and are typically valid for about 90 days, during which you must schedule and sit your exam
