I would like to ask quick question. I know that Data Engineer Associate exam questions have been updated at the beginning of May. Is this update also applicable for Professional exam?

No. The new May 4, 2026 version is applicable for Data Engineer Associate. Data Engineer Professional still runs of 30 Nov 2025 version. Please check back two weeks before your exam to ensure you learnt the correct topics. More details here

As of now, the major update announced at the beginning of May was specifically for the Associate-level Data Engineer exam. There has not been an official announcement indicating that the Professional-level exam received the same update at the same time. However, Microsoft/Databricks exams can still receive smaller ongoing adjustments, so it’s best to check the official exam skills outline for the most current details.
