PAID & SUBSCRIPTION courses - what is meant by SUBSCRIPTION?

I'm currently doing Databricks training. I'm trying to understand what is meant by SUBSCRIPTION? I currently have a trail subscription. What criteria do I have to fulfill to get this course included in my subscription?

Hello @JamesD!

If you purchase a lab subscription, you will gain access to both the labs and the self-paced courses. The lab subscription is valid for one year.

Does that mean that the two courses shown in the image below are identical (same content), but one is self-paces and one is with an instructor?

Yes @JamesD, the two courses shown in the image cover the same content; one is Self-paced, and the other is Instructor-Led.

I'm self-employed and am trying to determine the best way for me to acquire Databricks courses. I will be doing several courses. I prefer self-paced. Does this mean that purchasing the $200 option will give access to all the courses? I will NOT have to pay $75 for each subsequent course? Please see the attached images. Thank you, I'm trying to purchase the plan that will work for me.

@JamesD, for the Databricks Academy Labs ($200), you'll get access to most of the self-paced courses listed in the catalog, along with their corresponding labs.

For the Blended Learning Plan ($1500), you'll get access to 5 specified courses (as mentioned in the catalog) along with their labs, and you can choose between Instructor-Led Training (ILT) or self-paced courses.

I would recommend the $200 plan as it fits your requirements.

We are customers and have multiple environments at work and already have access to all courses. In DB001 Data Engineering, each course had its own download section, but gone missing in DB002. Is that still available? Thanks.

Hi, I’m interested in the Blended Learning Plan ($1500) and would like to confirm a few details:

Does the plan provide access to all five specified courses (as listed in the catalog), including their corresponding labs?
Can I access both Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and self-paced versions of the courses under this plan, or must I choose one format?
Since the Blended Learning Plan is advertised as inclusive, does that mean I don’t need to purchase a separate lab option, as labs are already included?

Appreciate your clarification on these points.

1. Yes, the Blended Learning Plan provides access to all specified courses listed in the catalog, along with their corresponding labs.

2. You do not have to choose only one format. The Blended Learning Plan is designed to give you access to both Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and self-paced versions of each course under the plan.

3. Yes, the Blended Learning Plan does not require a separate lab subscription.

May I ask if there is a discount code or coupon available for the Blended Learning Plan annual subscription? I understand that by completing one of the learning plans from the Virtual Learning Festival: 9 April – 30 April, participants are eligible for a 20% discount on a Databricks Academy Labs annual subscription.

Would it be possible to apply a similar 20% discount to the Blended Learning Plan? If so, could you please advise how I can obtain the coupon code?

What was not answered (to me) was if he would have to pay the listed "$75" for the lab courses in addition to the $200 subscription or if those would be included in the $200 subscription. Is the $75 more of an "a la carte" price for the labs?

If you choose the $200 subscription, you won’t need to pay the $75 separately for the labs (provided the lab is included in the subscription). The $200 plan covers all the listed $75 labs, so there won’t be any additional charges for those. I hope this clears up your concern.
