What is the point of only having the lab subscription? You can only access the labs if you have the instructor led courses? This does not make sense to me? What are you paying for?

For the Databricks Academy Labs ($200), you'll get access to most of the self-paced courses listed in the catalog, along with their corresponding labs.

Databricks Academy Labs, does it offer compute cluster, job clusters, serverless, sql warehouse for 200 USD per year for learning? Will it store my notebooks for subsequent login/learning until my subscription end? I wanted to renew few databricks certifications, practise more AI features

You can use Databricks Free Edition serverless available at no cost for learning with few limitations. More details here

Free edition may not be used for Commercial purposes.

I use DataBricks Free Edition for long time. I learn DataBricks, Apache Spark, aiming certifications, having Academy lab would help, however it is too poor response from DataBricks, asked them in various channel, they don't respond my question over their available paid service.
