I thought this would be a good place to share your favorite talks from the Databricks Data+AI Summit 2023 🙂

Heck feel free to share your favorite talk from a different conference or previous summit 😉

Today's talk 'Delta-rs, Apache Arrow, Polars, WASM: Is Rust the Future of Analytics?' stood out for me - I haven't explored the Rust ecosystem much, but the compelling point was that there's a lot infrastructure that's out there that works with rust - in particular Polars (like Pandas), Delta Lake-rs, Apache Arrow, and maybe soon Spark via Web assemblies 🙂

The session on migrating to unity catalog was very informative looking forward to more sessions in the next two days.

Hi, thanks for calling that talk out 🙂 I was there - for now, the path for interoperability between Spark and Rust was unclear.
