We are trying to connect tableau cloud to databricks. We have a serverless sql warehouse and a pro warehouse, both of those warehouses are not able to connect.

Can’t connect to Databricks

Detailed Error Message

There was an unknown connection error to the database. The error message below has additional information, but you might need to ask the database administrator to review the database logs. [Simba][ThriftExtension] (38) An attempt was made to set an empty string as the current catalog. This type of operation is not allowed. Unable to connect to the Databricks server "****.cloud.databricks.com". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.

However I can connect using our compute cluster. It seems like this might be by design. How come I can connect to the serverless or pro sql warehouses?
