Is the Model tab not available in Databricks Community cloud edition?

I am currently doing the Scalable Machine Learning Course and I observed that the menu options available in the videos are a bit different from what I have on my edition.

Is it because I am using the Community edition or there is some setting to make them visible on the menu?

Hi @Pradeep Gadkari

There are some features that are not available in the community edition.

Once you switch to normal subscription you will find that option

Hi @Vidula Khanna

Thanks for your response but my issue is not related to log-in. I am able to log-in but cannot see the model tab in the Machine learning persona.

Regards,

Pradeep Gadkari

Hi @Pradeep Gadkari, Access control is available only in the Premium plan and above.

By default, all users can create and modify workspace objects—including folders, notebooks, experiments, and models—unless an administrator enables workspace access control. With workspace object access control, individual permissions determine a user’s abilities. This article describes the respective consent and how to configure workspace object access control.

You can manage permissions in a fully automated setup using Databricks Terraform provider and databricks_permissions.

Before using workspace object access control, a Databricks admin must enable it for the workspace. See Enable workspace object access control.
