Databricks is expanding its data and AI partner ecosystem with new capabilities across Marketplace, Apps, OpenSharing, Genie Agents, and the Partner Well-Architected Framework (PWAF), all aimed at helping partners build, distribute, share, and monetize solutions more easily on the Databricks platform.
Instead of asking partners to navigate separate go-to-market motions, technical standards, and long deal cycles on their own, Databricks is bringing those pieces together through clearer partner guidance, broader distribution channels, and new ways to use customer commit spend on Marketplace.
Whatโs new:
- More ways to reach Databricks customers: Databricks says partners can now reach more than 20,000 customers, with new ecosystem capabilities designed to help them build, sell, share, and monetize more effectively.
- Marketplace Commit Drawdown: Customers with a Universal Commit can now use eligible Marketplace invoices against that pre-committed spend, which is meant to help speed up partner deals and reduce budget friction.
- Apps on Marketplace: Partners can now list Databricks Apps on Marketplace so customers can discover, deploy, and run them directly inside their own Databricks workspaces, without moving data out of the environment.
- OpenSharing for the AI era: OpenSharing extends Delta Sharing into a broader, vendor-neutral protocol for sharing not just data, but also AI assets such as agent skills, AI models, and unstructured data across platforms and clouds.
- Genie Agents as a shareable experience: Partners can now share Genie Agents through OpenSharing, giving customers a governed natural-language experience over data instead of sharing raw tables alone.
- PWAF keeps growing: The Partner Well-Architected Framework continues to expand with AI-ready guidance, an AI Partner Dev Kit, more architecture patterns, and the open-source Firefly reference app to help partners build faster against Databricks standards.
