Certifications definitely help. If you honestly commit yourself to learning, you’ll feel much more confident working with a given technology. I certainly noticed that after getting a certificate, the number of offers I received on LinkedIn increased 🙂
But there’s also the other side of the coin. If I were hiring someone for a project, I would still thoroughly verify the candidate’s knowledge. I’ve worked with people who had nearly every possible Azure certification, yet lacked even the most basic understanding of the technology. I assume they used dumps when preparing for the certification.

So, if you're going to take certification please do it in a fair way. Prepare as much as possible and I think this will have really positive impact on your carreer.
