Disable exiting current cell when moving around with keyboard arrows

Is there any way do disable exiting current cell when I move cursor around with arrows. When I press up arrow or down arrow it will exit the current cell and go to another cell. Can that functionally be disabled so when I hold up or down arrow key, cursor will go to the end (or beginning) of the cell and stay there.

Hi @IGRACH,

As far as I understand working in Databricks notebooks, you can't stay at a particular notebook cell when you are pressing / holding up or down arrow key, and there's no functionality currently in Developer setting to enable / disable this option.

But instead there is a option currently to move the cursor between cells / move lines up and down, as given in image below:

Hi @IGRACH

If you have a larger cell with many lines of code, focusing mode may be useful. In that mode, the UI doesn't move to the next cell when press the down arrow button at the end of the cell; it stays there.

It does move down to the next cell.

@IGRACH Sorry about the false information. Yes, it does move. I was testing it wrongly yesterday. Thanks for the correction!

Is there any place where I can put this as a request.
