How to optimize a View ?

I have create a view from my underlying delta live table. Generally delta live table get auto optimize with vaccum in place. If thats so why do my view take 1 hour to be queried ? Any other way to optimize it ?

• Ensure that your table is properly partitioned and clustered. Partitioning by relevant columns (such as device_id) can significantly speed up queries and reduce data shuffling during reads.
• Clustering the data based on frequently accessed columns can further enhance performance. Consider using the CLUSTERED BY clause when creating the table.
• Z-Ordering is a technique that organizes data within Delta tables to improve query performance. It rearranges the data based on specified columns, allowing Delta Lake to skip irrelevant data during query execution.
• You can use the OPTIMIZE command with the ZORDER BY clause to enable Z-Ordering.
• The VACUUM command helps reclaim space by removing unnecessary files from the Delta table. You can run it periodically to clean up old versions of data.
• For example, you can use VACUUM <table-name> RETAIN 0 HOURS to remove all old versions immediately. Be cautious with retention settings to avoid data loss.

By optimizing your Delta Live Table, you can significantly improve query performance.
