Restore committed changes to Azure Databricks Git after abandoned pull request

Gerlex

I want to restore the committed changes (before and after view) in my branch. As this pull request was abandoned in Azure DevOps, then the branch was not merged. Therefore, the modified notebooks still exist but not the commits.

How can I retrieve again these changes as I cannot see them to send them again when I require it?

  • The branch exists.
  • The notebooks with changes exist.

Hi @GerlexIf you want to restore the committed changes from an abandoned pull request in Azure DevOps, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Azure DevOps portal and open the abandoned pull request.
  2. Check the Changes tab to review the modifications made in the pull request.
  3. Click the Restore button to create a new branch from the abandoned pull request.
  4. Once the new branch is created, you can merge it into the main branch or another relevant branch.

Remember that the branch policies and permissions will not be restored automatically, so you may need to adjust those settings as needed. If youโ€™ve re-used the same branch name for different commits, you might not see all the commits youโ€™re expecting when you restore the deleted branch. In that case, navigate to the Pushes page of the restored branch to see the entire history, and you ...12.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions. ๐Ÿ˜Š
