Geoparquet support with Use Photon Acceleration enabled

Hi Experts,

Recently our team noticed that when we are using Aparch Sedona to create the parquet file with Geoparquet format, the geo metedata was not created inside the parquet file. But if we turn off the Photon setting, everything was working as expected. Just curious if there any channel or place where we could request for this requirement. Seems like databricks current support H3 natively. It'd be great if it could support GeoParquet as well.

Hi @feng_2014, Certainly, to request GeoParquet support in Databricks:

1. Contact Databricks Support:

   • Reach out to Databricks support by filing a support ticket to request the GeoParquet feature

2. Submit a Feature Request:

   • Use the Databricks Ideas portal to request the feature or upvote existing ideas directly.
