Hi @gaurav khannaโ , this may happen if you do not have appropriate level permissions on the cluster or you may only have 'Can read' on a notebook that doesn't allow detach and reattach.
https://docs.databricks.com/security/access-control/cluster-acl.html#cluster-level-permissions
https://docs.databricks.com/security/access-control/workspace-acl.html#notebook-permissions
In such cases, you can ask your admin to grant you the necessary permissions.
@Yuanyue Liuโ When you create a new notebook/cluster you get the owner access with 'Can Manage'. permissions by default.
If you still get an error where the notebook doesn't attach to the cluster - in such cases, it must be that your cluster is unhealthy or your driver has crashed. You can try restarting your cluster then.

Please provide more details. Are you administrator? Can you create cluster? What edition is it (community, Azure)?

I met the same problem, too. I created a new one with runtime - 10.0 (includes Apache Spark 3.2.0, Scala 2.12) instead of 9.1 LTS(Scala 2.12, Spark 3.1.2), which works.

I am having the same issue (Azure Databricks).
I have a running compute cluster analytics-compute-cluster running in Single User access mode. The Event Log for the cluster says the cluster is running and the "Driver is healthy".
I have Manage permission on the cluster. I am the creator of the Notebook we are trying to attach to the compute cluster.
From the Attach to an existing compute resource dialogue, choose the "General compute" option.
I'm expectiing to see my running cluster in the drop down list "Select a cluster" but it is not there.
