Where can I find the Databricks Fundamentals Notebook?

Hi! I'm currently doing the Databricks Fundamentals Learning Plan and therés a couple of topics (Catalogs and Notebooks) where to follow up with the training I need a notebook name Databricks Fundamentals. In both videos, the video makes reference to the Free Workspace which is not my case, and in my non-free workspace I don't have that notebook. IS it possible to download from some place so I can import it? I think I'm losing a lot of details by not being able to follow those steps from the learning.

did you ever figure this out, looking for those specific notebooks myself? I'm not sure if this is helpful, but in the Databricks free edition home page, there is a Databricks fundamentals course, which covers similar things (it is not exactly the same course as in the Learning Plan), but there you are able to access notebooks for that course (there are buttons to click to download materials when you go through the course). I'm wondering if the videos in Learning Plan are from a similar within-databricks course, where you could have accessed those notebooks...

No but I found an old post that is not possible to get it. It seems it's outdated. I'm getting very frustrated with these training courses to be honest. I have started the Machine Learning one and again, there's a demo using a notebook and I have no idea where I can get that notebook. It's very frustrating not being able to follow up what they are doing if we don't have the materials.

Hello @wsm777, the fundamentals course has since been updated. You can also explore the Databricks Fundamentals course in Free Edition for a more hands-on walkthrough.

For the notebooks and labs shown in other courses, first check whether the course is free self-paced, as these courses don’t include the guided labs demonstrated in the videos.

You can use Databricks Free Edition to practice and build your own projects, but it doesn’t include the guided course labs.

If you’d like to access the notebooks and hands-on labs shown in the course, you can choose either of the following options:

• Enroll in an Instructor-Led Training (ILT) course – this provides access to the hands-on labs for 7 days.
• Subscribe to Databricks Academy Labs (Databricks Academy → Subscription Plans → Databricks Academy Labs) – this is a great option for long-term learning, as it provides one year of access to both the labs and the self-paced courses included in the subscription.
