Where to find Notebooks for course 'Advanced Techniques with Apache Spark Declarative Pipelines'

Hi,

there are demos in the course 'Advanced Techniques with Apache Spark Declarative Pipelines' which use some notebook. Where can I find the notebook related to this course content. I am logged into the Databrick Learning by Partner account.
For instance in 'Data Ingestion with Lakeflow Connect' course there was available link to the Vocareum hosted notebooks, but not the above mentioned course.
Also, is there possibility to extend the notebook duration if runs out of time?

Hi Petri,

The free self-paced version of this course doesn't include the demo notebooks, which is why there's no Vocareum link. A Community Manager confirmed this in another thread: "lab materials are not available in self-paced courses." Courses that do come with labs have a Lab badge in the catalog and a lesson marked "LTI" that opens the Vocareum environment. The catalog page for this course has no Lab tag. It only mentions "lectures and hands-on demos". The Lakeflow Connect course you took most likely came with a lab version, which is where your link came from.

There are two ways to get the notebooks:

  1. Databricks Academy Labs subscription. You enroll in the same course from the "Catalogs in My Subscription" tab, and that version includes the lab environment. The subscription lasts a year.
  2. The instructor-led version of the course, which gives you seven days of lab access.

For the Partner Academy specifically, I couldn't find anything confirming whether partner accounts get the Labs subscription included. Your partner manager or Academy support through the Help Center is the right place to ask. They can also answer the time question. I haven't found any public documentation on per-session limits or extensions for the Vocareum labs. What I'd do regardless is export your notebooks before each session ends, since the environment is temporary.

If you'd rather not wait, you can rebuild most of the demos from the videos in Databricks Free Edition. Check its limitations first, because it caps compute and resets some resources.

Thank you for the reply ๐Ÿ‘
I have to ask about the notebook availability for Partner Academy members from the Help Center, because it would save time to have the notebook setups which load the necessary data, etc.

Another observation:
I noticed that in the course 'Databricks Data Privacy'  e.g. in module 'Pseudonymization & Anonymization'
the lecture slides were containing mainly the opening slide and nothing else.
