Establish A Common Meeting Place:  The DMV Area is the nation's Capitol, the heart of Public Sector/Government, and boasts numerous headquarter locations for many large companies, organizations, and nonprofits; spanning across industries.

The DMV Databricks Community Group provides a platform & digital space to bring together:  The groups mentioned above, existing and prospective Databricks users, and the broader tech community — to exchange ideas relevant to the Databricks ecosystem and beyond.

Establish Industry Sub Groups:  The DMV Databricks Community groups seeks to enable the formation of industry-specific subgroups — where each subgroup has an assigned "Industry Captain" who monitors the Databricks Community Forum, driving collaboration for their respective area.

If you are interested in becoming an Industry Captain or nominating someone you know — please reach out to Anton Lagergren (contact info below)

Enable In-Person Meet-Ups:  The DMV Databricks Community Group seeks to facilitate in person events & meet ups in collaboration with Higher Education, Professional Organizations / Non-Profits, Private/Public Sector, Local Community Development Advocacy groups, Industry Leaders, and Individuals
