🚀 Databricks Custom Apps! 🚀

Ajay-Pandey
Esteemed Contributor III

Whether you're a data scientist or a sales executive, Databricks is making it easier than ever to build, host, and share secure data applications. With our platform, you can now run any Python code on serverless compute, share it with non-technical colleagues, and manage everything with built-in security and governance.

What's New:

Host & Run: Leverage Databricks serverless compute to run Python apps effortlessly.
Share & Govern: Easily share your apps, even with non-Databricks users, while maintaining control and security.
Best Practices: Separate development and production environments, use credential manager APIs, and more.

This is the future of data apps—simplified, secure, and powerful.

📅 Coming Soon: Stay tuned for upcoming features like a UI and hot reload capabilities!

I do consider that as a good direction - HOWEVER 🙂 I had a lot of challenges while integrating with Delta Lake on low-code, no-code platforms such as PowerApps on Azure - this is why - I would love to see something like this on Databricks

Feel your pain, I hate Power Apps 😄

Is there ETA for general availability of custom apps to the public?

Can we somehow play with hosting, and expose this app outside?
