Join us for the inaugural meeting of the Omaha Databricks User Group!

This kickoff session will introduce the group and provide a beginner-friendly overview of Databricks. No prior experience necessary!

What We'll Cover:

  • About this user group: goals, meeting format, and community
  • What is Databricks and why use it?
  • Platform overview and key capabilities
  • Use cases: AI, data engineering, analytics, and machine learning
  • Live demonstration using Databricks Free Edition
  • Q&A and discussion

Who Should Attend: Anyone interested in learning about Databricksโ€”data engineers, analysts, scientists, BI professionals, or just curious technologists. All experience levels welcome!

Format: Presentation and live demonstration with plenty of time for questions and getting to know fellow members.

We're excited to launch this community and connect Omaha's data professionals!

might be worth updating time to CST, almost ruled it going til i saw the timezone

Thanks for the feedback, I'll follow up with databricks admins as I selected CST as default (see screenshot) but looks like Event is showing PST.

The main room in the center of the building.  If you park on the north (Dodge Street) side and enter the main doors, the room will be right in front of you behind the water features as you enter the lobby.
