Does anyone have any experience of Azure Databricks and connecting to external data sources using SQL, R and Python?

Depends what the external connectors are - you can use SQL to connect to lots of sources with Lakeflow connect

The docs have details on what can and can't be connected to. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/azure/databricks/ingestion/lakeflow-connect/

Some of them have example notebooks too: https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/notebooks/source/sql-server-cdc-connector-setup.html

Hello Mate,

Hope doing great,

I tried to connect to R, PostgresSQL using the connectors only but its last year. I tried to push the data and able to access 2 side like push and pull the data to R.

What I can say was its feasible.

Please ignore if might not help.

Thanks for the ask.
