Databricks Observability

I learned about databricks observability platform during Data+AI summit 2024. There was also a session around it https://www.databricks.com/dataaisummit/session/simplifying-lakehouse-observability-databricks-key-design-goals-and. However, I am not able to find any documentation around it or list of comprehensive metrics which this platform is supposed to capture. Can someone point me in the right direction to gather this information?

Yes I have verified path and libraries and got is second person verified, compared path in notebooks and even in notebook++. Path is correct, is there in sys.path but this concept still don’t work.

I saw the session on pre-installing the libraries..

I implemented the steps to create a python file in "root/.ipython/profile_default/startup/" and that is executing fine and adding the path in sys.path.

But still import fails on libraries.

If I do append in sys.path specifically in notebook that works. Can someone help me out in resolving this issue.

As the error says, you cannot create a table with DBFS as location.
If you really need to create external table, please follow this guide: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/databricks/tables/external

Creating table in Unity Catalog with file scheme dbfs is not supported.

Instead, please create a federated data source connection using the CREATE CONNECTION command for the same table provider, then create a catalog based on the connection with a CREATE FOREIGN CATALOG command to reference the tables therein. I am getting this error . I am trying to create a table in Databricks workspace. I don't know How to create a connection for data which is residing in delta lake(s3) . Anyone can give me a code to create a connection and foreign catalog in databricks notebook .Here is my code.

staging_table_path="dbfs:/user/hive/warehouse/staging_order_tracking"

spark.sql(f"create table if not exists staging_order_tracking using delta location '{staging_table_path}'")
