It is a Databricks Labs Sandbox project, which presents to users an easy to use interface for fine tuning AI agents to do code explanation and translation. It can operate in an interactive mode, where users copy and paste their code into the tool and output a Databricks Notebook, or it can operate in batch mode by applying the AI agents to a set of files stored in a UC volume. Installation is simple via the Databricks CLI, and Legion is accessible to a varied skill set. All a user requires is prompt engineering skills - this does not need AI experts to get started, but as an open-source framework, it can be adjusted and extended to meet a business' needs and made as complex as necessary.
