This approach can now be simplified via OpenSharing SecureConnect. The base setup is one-time: providers allowlist Databricks-managed network endpoints on their storage and enable SecureConnect. SecureConnect can also support private connectivity via NCC/PrivateLink, but that capability is currently gated / rollout-dependent, please work with your account team for enablement and region support.
