Why are there 3 courses (SQL Analytics on Databricks) for the Databricks Data Analyst Certification?

Hi folks

I was interested in doing the certification for the "Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate" here:

https://www.databricks.com/learn/certification/data-analyst-associate

Looking at the "Related Training" section I see recommended training includes

  • AI/BI for Data Analysts

Doing a search for this course (hopefully free) I see the following 3 courses?

https://www.databricks.com/training/catalog?search=sql+analytics+on+databricks

All 3 "look" the same to me in terms of course content with the exception that each one is one hour longer (2, 3, 4 hours) and then the 3 hour course includes a lab and the 4 hour includes lab+ instructor

I guess my question is if I was to "cheap out" and "only" do the 2 hour course is the course content the same?

I just wanted to make sure I take the right course

Thanks in advance!

Hello @rodneyc8063!

Yes, all three courses cover the same content, the difference lies in the format and access:

  • 2-hour Self-Paced: Free, video-only
  • 3-hour Self-Paced: Paid, includes hands-on labs
  • 4-hour Instructor-Led: Paid, includes labs and a live instructor session

If you're mainly looking to understand the material without hands-on practice or a live classroom session, the free two-hour course should work for you.
