Hi everyone,
I’m planning to take the Databricks Certified Generative AI Engineer Associate exam and just wanted to confirm that I’m following the correct learning path.
The exam guide mentions that the “Generative AI Engineering with Databricks” self-paced course will soon be replaced with the following four modules:
Generative AI Solution Development (RAG)
Generative AI Application Development (Agents)
Generative AI Application Evaluation and Governance
Generative AI Application Deployment and Monitoring
When I look at the current learning plan in the Databricks Academy, I can see those exact 4 modules (plus Generative AI Fundamentals and the exam preparation course), and I’ve completed all of them.
Question:
Since the current Academy path already includes those four modules, can I proceed with the exam preparation based on the current content? Or is there additional upcoming material that I should wait for before attempting the exam?
Would really appreciate any clarification — thank you!

The learning path for the Databricks Generative AI Engineer Associate certification is now fully structured and cohesive. It begins with a self-paced Generative AI Fundamentals course that lays the groundwork for LLM concepts and practical use cases. From there, you progress through a structured Generative AI Engineering learning pathway—available in training modules or instructor-led classes—covering RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), prompt chaining, LLM fine-tuning, deployment via Model Serving, Vector Search, MLflow lifecycle management, and governance using Unity Catalog. Completing these modules readies you for the proctored certification exam, which validates your ability to architect, build, evaluate, and deploy GenAI solutions end-to-end on the Databricks platform.

Hi,
This not answers the question. @devipriya is asking about confirmation regarding "Generative AI Engineering with Databricks" self-paced course. Currently, we can't be sure if the content is up to date or not.
Could someone from @Cert-Team shed a light on this topic?

Recommended preparation, including current courseware, and all exam objectives are always on the Exam Guide. the current version as of today is here: https://www.databricks.com/sites/default/files/2025-04/databricks-certified-generative-ai-engineer-a...
Databricks Certification recommends checking back 4-2 weeks before any exam date to see if content has changed.
