For personal practice, Databricks Free Edition is also a great option. You can use it to build and test ETL workflows, and other data engineering projects.

Along with the official Exam Guide and Databricks Academy resources, I would suggest preparing in three layers.

First, understand the exam topics clearly. Do not start only with mock questions. Make sure you are comfortable with Spark SQL, PySpark/DataFrames, Delta Lake, medallion architecture, workflows, incremental processing, data quality, and Unity Catalog basics.

Second, do hands-on practice in Databricks Free Edition. Even simple projects help a lot. Try loading raw data, cleaning it, saving it as Delta, creating tables, writing transformations, and building a small end-to-end pipeline. This makes the exam concepts much easier to remember.

Third, use practice exams only to test your gaps, not as your main learning source. After every wrong answer, go back and understand the concept behind it.
