2,800
new members.
And counting.
DAIS 2026 brought a wave of new faces to the Databricks Community. If you just joined, welcome. This post is for you: what just happened, what Community is, and what you can do here.
The booth did its job.
For four days at DAIS 2026, the Databricks Community booth lived in the Learning & Enablement Hub at Moscone West, Level 2. People came up the escalators, scanned the QR codes, said hi at the welcome wall, and signed up. A lot of them.

Thank you to every volunteer who walked an attendee through the registration, every Champion and Fellow who said hi at the booth, and everyone who scanned a QR code. The number is real because you showed up.

Five ways to get value out of Community.
|
β
Post your questions. The forum is where data and AI practitioners ask the things they can't Google. Real questions, real follow-ups. |
π‘
Get reliable answers. From data experts and peers, Fellows, Champions, MVPs, instructors, and Databricks employees. |
|
π€
Network with peers.Connect with practitioners across companies, industries, countries, and skill levels. |
π
Organize User Groups.Local meetups, online events, special-interest gatherings, the User Group platform is built for them. |
Earn recognition along the way.
Your contributions count. Answers get accepted, posts get noticed, and you build a reputation across the platforms. Plus, you'll unlock new badges along the way to showcase your achievements! That's how Fellows, Champions, and MVPs got their start.
Data and AI practitioners. All kinds.
Databricks users, partners, prospects, and employees, all in the same place. Different roles, different companies, different days at work. Same platform.
Your first three things on Community.
- Introduce yourself, drop a hello, what you're working on, and where you're based.
- Browse the forum, find a topic you care about, follow it, jump into a thread.
- Find a User Group near you, in-person or online. The fastest way to meet people who do what you do.
Welcome to Community. π
If you joined at the DAIS booth this week, drop a π in the comments and tell us where you're from. We'd love to know.
