Yeah this is bad, to not be able to prevent users from using serverless instead of the controlled compute we had set up. our costs are already blowing up. This will make staying on Databricks unaffordable for us. It is ridiculous you can just disable it and allow it for certain groups or situations, it's just there for every user to rack up costs and best i can do is just add tags to that - useless. what a money grab. Might start making the move to another platform, we under utilise the features anyway, but this makes it the absolute worst choice for us budget wise
