Lost access to Databricks account console on Free Edition

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble accessing the Databricks account console and need some guidance.

Background:

  • I successfully set up Databricks Free Edition with Terraform using my personal account
  • I was able to access accounts.cloud.databricks.com to obtain the storage_root value (S3 URL for the metastore) which I needed for my Terraform configuration
  • Everything was working fine initially

Current Problem:

  • I can no longer access accounts.cloud.databricks.com for my workspace
  • I'm trying to replicate this setup in another account but cannot access the account console there either

Questions:

  1. Did Databricks change the Free Edition account console access recently?
  2. Is there an alternative way to obtain the metastore storage_root value without account console access?
  3. Has anyone else experienced this with Free Edition accounts?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi @chanukya-pekala ,

Are you sure you're talking about databricks free edition? In Free Edition you don't have access to account console, so how

Maybe you confused Free Editon with Free Trial? Keep in mind that you can use Free Trial for only 14 days:

Yah, I have seen the docs. I wonder how I could get the s3 url, I do have an account with my email before Free edition, may be community edition. When i opened accounts console, it did show up, was thinking it could be the free edition only! Thanks again.

I just double checked, I was able to manage my personal workspace through terraform without account console. Thanks again.
