Thanks for the explanation. Very clear and constructive. 
Our design is leveraging structured streaming but for batch use, with availableNow and checkpointing.

The scenario that I described occurs in Gold storage. After some reading and testing, I decided switching to Declarative pipeline materialized view instead of inner joining of multiple streaming tables. Still in the middle of code modification and testing.
