In recent days I explored trusted assets in my genie space and this working very well! but I feel a little confused :s

In my genie space I have many queries examples when I create a new function with the same query example for verify the answer I finish with double instruction (query + function). My question here is if the functions for verify answer works the same how a query example? Can I use a function instead of a query? or It's ok to have a duplicate query (example query + function)?
