Databricks Apps: Issue with ACLs for apps are disabled or not available in this tier

Hello, I've created a dummy app (using the template) and deployed it in an Azure Databricks premium workspace. It is working fine but is only available for those users with access to the Databricks resource.

I would like to change the permissions to "Anyone in my organization can use" but it gives the following error "ACLs for apps are disabled or not available in this tier" when clicking in Permissions. The workspace is premium, and the menu opens although no permissions appear and when I click save nothing happens

What should I do to enable ACL for apps, and be able to share this app to everyone in my organization?

Thanks!

Hi, Please find the steps to enable ACL: http://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/databricks/security/auth/access-control/

  • Go to the Azure Databricks workspace.
  • Navigate to the Admin Console.
  • Under the Access Control tab, enable the necessary access control settings.

Set Permissions for the App: Once access control is enabled, you can set the permissions for your app. To share the app with everyone in your organization:

  • Go to the app in your Databricks workspace.
  • Click on the Permissions option.
  • Set the permissions to "Anyone in my organization can use."

Hello, I'm sorry but I need a little bit more guidance, I'm quite new at this. I believe I have ACL setup for files or folders for example (I can go to a file in the workspace and click Share (Permissions), which was disabled before I created a metastore). The link you shared do not have instructions. only tables with each permission and role.
In the Admin console there is no Access control tab (User & groups?). But I see nothing related to Apps, so which are the necessary access control settings?

Thank you very much for the help

Hi, any help? I've settled in the meantime for an Azure Webapp, but it is a pity that I cannot use this just for a configuration step. Any help is welcomed!
