Unable to enable Serverless Notebooks

Hello there,

I have a Databricks Premium Subscription but am not able to enable Serverless Notebooks (as that option does not seem to exist). I have gone through DB documentation and have Unity Catalog Enabled. I even opened a ticket (00591635) but it was closed and I was asked to open a new one here. I purchased DB through the AWS marketplace. I had the exact same observation in Azure. I followed ALL the documentation and I am able to create jobs, compute, run notebooks etc. I do NOT see the Serverless Options in the Feature Enablement Tab as documented (with no explanation either). ANY assistance would be most appreciated as taking 10min to start a cluster is quite prohibitive from a learning perspective for off work hours learner.

This is really unfortunate. It would go past the trial period in that case which seems to be 14 days.

Our team has confirmed this might be available by next week.

Hey Walter, I seem to have the Serverless Option but it seems to be enabled AFTER the trial period. Is that a deliberate decision and if so it is quite unfortunate as this is REALLY one of the best features of DB ecosystem.

Thanks Walter. Will wait for that.

it seems it is not specific to trial mode, as per the information I received from Engineering team, it seems that for new created accounts it can take up to 15 days to have serverless enabled on their workspaces. This will probably be improved in the future.
