Databricks certification exams often include unscored (pilot) questions for research and validation purposes. These are not counted toward your final score, but they are presented just like scored questions โ and you arenโt told which ones are unscored.
This is intentional and standard practice in many certification exams (including AWS, Microsoft, etc.) to test potential future questions. Even though the unscored questions donโt affect your score, they do consume your time, and Databricks doesnโt add extra time to compensate which can understandably make the exam feel rushed.
Best practices to follow while giving exam: Try to answer questions fast where ever you know answers. if you cant identify the answer quickly, mark it for review later so that you will get few cycles to go through questions to be reviewed and can answer by giving focused time. Time management is really important in certification exams.
