Hello,
I noticed that the Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0 - Python exam no longer appears to be available. Has it been retired, and if so, has it been replaced by the apache-spark-developer-associate exam?

I also noticed that the exam content has been updated to include new topics such as streaming. What are your thoughts on these changes?

Hey @SantoshJoshi
Honestly, I would recommend taking it if you didn't take the old Spark 3.0 exam... The topics are very similar and I would say the old exam was even harder.

Hi @Isi ,
Yes, I was planning to appear for the older exam later this month but I'm unsure if it's active now. I think I will go for the latest one, I might need to prep a bit on streaming which was missing in the previous exam.
Have you given the latest one already?
Best,
Santosh

No, I haven’t taken the new one yet because I believe it’s really recent, and my older certification in Spark 3.0 is still valid.
From what I’ve seen, it’ll probably include topics similar to what we see in the Associate or Professional exams for streaming things like watermarking, checkpoints, autoloader, etc. So it shouldn’t be too difficult if you’re already familiar with those.
Good luck with your prep! Hope to see your badge in the community soon 🙂
