Quick clarification about GENAI or Context engineering certification

"I’m currently preparing for a GenAI certification, but recently came across the Context Engineering certification. As a Solution Architect, I’m curious — which certification provides greater advantage in shaping enterprise AI solutions? Would love to hear insights from peers and leaders who’ve explored either path."

To get the full perspective on what is needed to implement an enterprise GenAI solution, my advice would be to do both, starting with Generative AI Engineer and then Context Engineering. I wouldn’t say one provides greater advantages for shaping enterprise solutions; rather, they are complementary. The GenAI Engineer certification covers the broader end-to-end GenAI application lifecycle, while Context Engineering goes deeper into designing, assembling and governing the context that enables AI agent systems to perform effectively.

I’d look at the kind of projects you’re working on. GenAI seems broader, while Context Engineering feels more focused on building reliable, context-aware AI systems. For a Solution Architect, both could complement each other depending on your goals.
