I recently started exploring Lakebase on Databricks, and I wanted to share a few thoughts from my early experience.

What I like most so far is how it simplifies things. Instead of dealing with multiple tools for storage, processing, and AI, everything feels more unified. As someone still learning, this makes it much easier to focus on understanding the data rather than worrying about setup and integrations.

Another thing that stood out is how it seems designed for both data and AI workflows together. This feels important because more and more use cases today are not just about dashboards, but about building intelligent applications. Having a platform that naturally supports that direction feels like a big step forward.

To me, this is where it could be a game changer. It reduces complexity, speeds up experimentation, and makes it easier for teams to go from idea to insight. That kind of flexibility can really help both beginners and experienced teams move faster.
